Instructions for Making a Word Search Puzzle

  1. Enter a title and description for your puzzle.
  2. For a standard word search, simply enter a list of words, one per line.
  3. For a crossword-style puzzle with clues, enter both the words and clues in the designated boxes. (See an example)
  4. To create a puzzle with a hidden question, select the "Add a question" checkbox to hide the words/clues during gameplay.
  5. By selecting "Disable Reverse, Reverse Diagonal," you can prevent words from appearing in reverse or diagonal directions.
  6. "Easy Mode" is perfect for children, as it only allows horizontal and vertical left-to-right words.
  7. Words/clues should be between 3 and 20 letters in length.
  8. While there is no limit to the number of words you can add, we recommend at least 10-20 words for a well-designed puzzle.
  9. Our algorithm arranges the words for you, but we recommend clicking "Arrange and Preview Now!" multiple times to ensure the perfect placement of words.
